About Me

Sydney Scherer - I am going to be a senior at RCHS during the 2022-2023 school year. I have been on the Lady Tiger volleyball, basketball, and soccer teams for the past 3 years. I plan to play all three sports again this coming year. I’m an active FFA member and a member of the Student Council. I am the Junior Class Treasurer. I have received high honors all 3 years of High School. During Middle School, I received the Academic ERFAE Award. I also received the Athletic Award. Academics and sports are important to me. I love to set goals, and then to accomplish them. Outside of school, I work at Another Wild Hair Salon by cleaning. I also babysit occasionally. During the fall, I work at Possum Patch Farms. I usually work at the front gate doing admissions, but sometimes I work in their pumpkin painting booth. I also am very active in my church and youth group. I help with several of our kids’ programs. I teach Wee Worship once a month, I help with Vacation Bible School each summer, and in the past, I helped with Sunday Morning Live! Program. I also volunteer with my church at Good Samaritan. My relationship with Jesus is very important to me.The thing I’m most excited about joining the CEO program is the learning experience gained on how to run and operate my own business.

About My Business

Sydney Scherer - Chick N’ Noodles is owned and operated by 2023 Richland County CEO Entrepreneur, Sydney Scherer. Chick N’ Noodles is a sole proprietorship, where she is crafting homemade noodles and packaging in a resealable bag. Chick N’ Noodles was created as a way to honor her grandmother’s recipe. Her grandmother was overwhelmed with joy when Sydney told her she would be carrying on the noodle tradition with her special recipe. When CEO was starting, her grandmother, Gladys, fell ill and was in and out of the hospital for A-Fibrillation. With her strong faith and strength of prayer, Sydney comforted her grandmother with the special noodles, which Gladys insisted helped with her recovery. Gladys is thrilled to see how Sydney continues to grow the business. Gladys looks forward to her noodles being enjoyed by many new people. Sydney’s noodle business has been steadily growing with prospects of more sales during the upcoming events. The current rate for a single 8 oz bag of noodles is $6.
